A student from Bolton is set to make a go of it in the Big Smoke after getting a full house.
Although it has been a rainy day, there was no chance of Bolton School student Veer Patel's spirits being dampened this A-level results day.
He will be going to Imperial College London after getting triple A star grades.
Veer said: "I am doing well, I am really happy with my results. I did biology, chemistry and maths.

"I am pretty happy with that. I will be going to Imperial College London to study medicine.
"I was a bit nervous, as anyone would be, especially for biology and chemistry as those are the subjects I needed A stars for.
"But when I got the results this morning when I opened UCAS, I would have been happy with two A stars and an A, but this is brilliant."
