A car was seized after police say that it was being driven without insurance.

The car was seen being driven in the Halliwell area on the afternoon of Wednesday August 14.

Police say they came across the car being driven on Tennyson Street.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team seized the vehicle pictured below this afternoon in Halliwell after it was seen on Tennyson Street, being driven without any policy of insurance in place.

“The vehicle was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.”

An image supplied by police at the scene shows the car having been seized on Tennyson Street with a police car parked not far behind it.

This comes amid long running concerns about uninsured or unlicensed drivers on the roads across Bolton and further afield around Greater Manchester.

In recent months police have also had to deal with other kinds of crimes and anti-social behaviour on the roads including speeding, vehicles theft and drink and drug driving.
