A child has been taken to hospital after a road traffic collision this afternoon.
Emergency services were called Rishton Lane in Great Lever this afternoon, August 13.
The road was shut off as paramedics attended to the child.
A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "At 2.50pm today, an ambulance response vehicle and a helicopter were called to Rishton Lane in Bolton.

"It was a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian. A child has been taken to Manchester Children's Hospital."
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called at 2.49pm today to Rishton Lane in Bolton to reports of a road traffic collision involving a child.
"It is not believed that the child's injuries are serious."
An eyewitness said: "Ambulances, a helicopter and multiple police vehicles are in attendance.
"The air ambulance landed, four Bee Network buses were unable to carry on and were left stranded as police had closed road off the road on either side of the Texaco Garage.
"It looks like it has reopened."
The eyewitness added that they saw a person on the floor in the middle of the road.
