Emergency services attended as a road was closed this afternoon after a lorry breakdown.
Station Road was closed off at its junction with the A6 Blackrod Bypass Road after the incident.
Fire services cleaned a spillage of diesel off the road, which had come from the HGV and police also attended.
A GMFRS spokesperson said: "One fire engine attended Station Road at around 3.30pm after a small spillage of diesel from a HGV onto the road and we made the area safe. Officers left after about 20 minutes."

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said officers were called to the scene at 2.50pm for a break down of a lorry.
They closed the road while fire services have been "tasked with the removal" of the lorry.
The spokesperson added that firefighters had to clean up some "leakages" but that emergency services are now waiting for recovery, with the road still closed.
As of 9pm this evening, AA Traffic News showed the road as still being shut.
