The owner of a town centre chippy is calling on his loyal following to get stuck in and vote after his shop was nominated for a top award.

Chip&Go has been at Bolton Market for over two years and has steadily built up a league of regular customers.

Owner, Sebastian Coman, runs the show himself and has tweaked the menu and his opening hours over the years, with the shop specialising in loaded fries.

Now, it has been nominated for a Good Food Award. Voting is open and nominations will close on August 14.

Sebastian said:" They base it on the quality of the food, reviews from Google and social media and consistency.

"It is amazing, even if I don't win anything, just being nominated makes me a winner. I have been open for just over two years and it is a big accomplishment.

"I always wanted people to give me feedback, it can be good but sometimes I even push for them to give me something negative so I know what I can do better.

"I used to be open on Wednesdays but now I shut then and open later on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, until 8pm.

"I am slowly trying to extend the hours. With the new houses across the road as well, people will start to move in around Christmas so hopefully that will help too.

"Everything looks positive. I just want to thank the community for still supporting us."
