People are invited to a multicultural day with Turkish food, heritage games and crafts at a historic Farnworth hall.
Multicultural Moses Gate will be a free event held at Rock Hall in Moses Gate Country Park on August 24 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM.
Attendees can enjoy Turkish treats, badminton, mehndi (henna) hand painting and weaving and calligraphy workshops.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. No booking is necessary.
The Save Rock Hall charity has organised the event with Bolton Council and The Sunnyside Fund.
Rock Hall is a historical home in Moses Gate Country Park built in 1807 and closed in 2014. It has been left disused since then.
Save Rock Hall’s mission has been to renovate the listed building so it can become a community asset.
In the meantime, it has organised fun events for people and families.
Its charity Banana Enterprise Network was awarded £4million of funding jointly with Bolton Council by The National Lottery Heritage Fund for its “Rock Hall Revival” project last year.
