Holcombe race meeting, 1950
The years was 1950 and crowds headed to Holcombe for the annual race meeting.
Just look at the punters queuing to place their bets with the on course bookies.
It looks as though the horse Silver Santa was a clear favourite for the next race judging by the odds boards.
In the background you can see some of the many coaches which had brought racegoers to the track including a couple with special viewing platforms.
