Police have released images after finding an unauthorised encampment at a Bolton park.
Officers received concerns and complaints of an unauthorised encampment in Leverhulme Park, which they descended on today (August 1).
Police say they, alongside the council, will continue to monitor the area to “prevent and deter” unauthorised encampments being set up at the park again.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Bolton North neighbourhood [policing] team have been working alongside partners from Bolton Council enforcement services today following concerns and complaints of an unauthorised encampment in Leverhulme Park.
“Your local neighbourhood officers and partners from the Bolton Council enforcement team will continue to monitor this area to prevent and deter this from happening again, if you have any concerns in the future in this area and others, please report this in the first instance to your local council.”
