Vintage cars speeding through the centre of Bolton but it is not all it seems.
Take a look at some of the shops in the background and you’ll soon realise that this photo is not as old as you might think.
It was, in fact, taken in June 1977 when competitors taking part in a vintage car rally from Manchester to Blackpool passed through the town.
The cars are on Bradshawgate - on the left you can see the Prince William pub with a Boddington’s Brewery sign.
Given the lack of traffic it was either early in the morning or perhaps on a Sunday.
Do you remember the cars passing through Bolton? Can you identify any of the shops on Bradshawgate from this time?
