A woman has been jailed after robbing an older man leaving him with a fractured hip.
Jody Ainsworth, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to three years and four months imprisonment after pleading guilty to robbing an 81-year-old man.
Bolton Crown Court heard how the victim had got a taxi to the Post Office Pub on Market Street in Farnworth, Bolton on Sunday, May 12 at around 1.20pm.

He left the pub a couple of hours later to go to a local bookmakers, and then went on to a cash machine to withdraw £250.
A review of CCTV cameras outside a nearby shop showed the victim at the cash machine at around 4pm, where there were two women behind him.

One of these was 33-year-old Ainsworth, who was seen to be moving closer to the 81-year-old before grabbing the money he had just taken out.
They both fell to the ground following a struggle, with the victim sustaining an injury to his right hip.

Ainsworth then made off up Market Street, leaving the victim on the floor.
He was subsequently taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital, where it was confirmed he had fractured his hip which required surgery. He had also sustained a cut to his hand when he fell.
PC Georgia Ascroft of Bolton Police said: “We are pleased with today’s result, which has seen a dangerous individual taken off the streets.
“Robbery and theft remain a priority for Greater Manchester Police, and we will investigate every report that comes in, with a view to locating, apprehending and charging individuals who think they have the right to take from others, without their consent.
“We encourage anyone who may have been a victim, or if you know someone who has been, to contact us and you have our assurance that we will investigate.”
