A Horwich electrical equipment supplier is celebrating a landmark anniversary.
Specialist Switchgear Systems Ltd marked its 40th year in business and a record sales month in July.
The company generated £7m turnover this year, and while it initially started with a turnover of £100,000, it now aims to reach £10m over the next few years.
Managing director Phil Hoy said: "Specialist Switchgear Systems Ltd would like to celebrate 40 years in business.

Mr Hoy further mentioned the company's successful expansion in recent weeks.
He added: "In recent weeks we have launched our new servicing and maintenance division which as we were anticipating, has taken off to a flying start.
"The potential in this side to our is endless and we are really excited to see where this takes us."
Aside from an on-site servicing division, the company also launched an e-commerce site.
Mr Hoy added: "Our e-commerce site has been developed and we are seeing an increase in orders through our website which is encouraging."
Mr Hoy revealed their plan to achieve three ISO certifications by the end of the year.
He added: "We couldn’t have done this without the hard work and enthusiasm of our staff."
