Firefighters responded to a car fire in Westhoughton on Monday.
A fire engine from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service’s Atherton station was called out to the fire in the evening on Monday.
Smoke can be seen rising above the houses in photos from the incident, with a car engulfed in flames.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 6.55pm on Monday (July 29) one fire engine from Atherton was called to reports of a car on fire on Park Road, Westhoughton.
“Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire and made the surrounding area safe. Crews were in attendance for around one hour.”
