An archaeologist will be on hand to identify any objects people may have discovered at Bolton Musuem.
The next 'Dug It - Archaeology ID Day' will take place on Saturday, August 10 between 11am and 3pm.
A spokesman for the museum said: "Have you found something in your flower bed? Discovered something on a dig?
"Whatever age you are, if you are unsure of what you have found, why not bring in your finds to our expert archaeologist who will take a look and tell you what they are."
The drop-in session will take place in the museum foyer.
Previously sessions have proved hugely popular with members of the public who have brought their finds to be identified.
Bolton Museum also has a partnership with the British Museum as part of the Portable Antiquities Scheme which means the public can even have their finds recorded by the Finds Liaison Office, who aims to document small finds across the UK.
