A Bolton man carried out 12 thefts from shops, including taking 24 Toblerones worth more than £100 and chocolate-shaped game controllers.
Joshua Grimshaw targeted the Card Factory at the Breightmet Retail Park in May this year.
The 28-year-old stole £120 worth of Toblerone bars.
The same month he stole 16 bottles of Fairy Liquid from Home Bargains, also at Breightmet Retail Park, with an unknown value.
On a separate date in May he stole Father's Day chocolate shaped game controllers worth £10 from the Card Factory at Breightmet Retail Park.

Eleven days later he returned to the same store and stole £20 of chocolates.
In April he stole meats worth £30 from Morrisons on Tonge Old Road.
Also in May he stole £90 of Father's Day confectionary from the Card Factory at Breightmet Retail Park, and on another date stole £25 of the same item from the same store before returning once again to steal an unknown amount of items from that shop.
Also in May he stole a basket full of items worth £80 from Nisa Local in Bolton and on another date in the same month stole £70 of meat from Aldi, also in Bolton.
In April he went to the Aldi on Breightmet Fold Lane and stole £70 of meat.
The same month he stole five bottles of gin worth £80 from the Breightmet Retail Park.
Grimshaw, from Bury Road, Breightmet, Bolton, admitted the 12 thefts thefts at Manchester Magistrates Court.
Following this he was placed on a community order to last for a year.
He was ordered to do 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.
He was also told to pay compensation of £285.
