A bus operator has achieved accreditation at its Bolton depot.

Diamond Bus North West has achieved ISO 45001/14001 recognition for all its sites across the region.

The announcement follows the successful accreditation of the firm's Eccles Depot in 2023, and includes the Bolton Depot and the newly refurbished Head Office.

The globally recognised certifications are a mark of excellence, signifying that the company takes health, safety, and environmental issues seriously.

Accreditation has required a year of intensive work to meet all necessary criteria.

Managing director, Matthew Rawlinson, said: "We have had an amazing couple of years.

"We've won multiple franchises within the Greater Manchester Bee Network franchise, we've become a member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, we've won awards for Health and Wellbeing.

"In addition to gaining ISO 45001 for Safety Management and ISO 14001 for Environmental Management at our Eccles Depot, we are proud to now have the accreditation across all our sites in the North West.

"This shows everyone that we take the highest degree of HSE very seriously."
