The search is on for the golden ticket - just like in the popular children's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Emmaus, which is charity to support the homeless, has launched a golden ticket prize draw for shoppers at its Fletcher Street store.

Beginning Monday, July 29, Emmaus Bolton has hidden one golden ticket at its store in town.

Those lucky enough to find the ticket will be in the running to win a £100 voucher to be spent at any of its charity shops.

To enter the draw, customers must spot the golden ticket on display and report its exact location to the counter staff at the main reuse store.

Director of Emmaus Bolton, Tony Stephenson, said: "We were inspired by a book we often see in our charity bookshop, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, to offer a new summer activity that will be fun for the whole family."

Emmaus Bolton has a low-cost café on site with a brand-new ice cream parlour and a garden centre currently running a buy-two-get-one-free offer on all plants.

The charity supports individuals who have experienced homelessness by providing secure accommodation, tailored support and work opportunities.

Funds raised at the charity shops enable Emmaus to support up to 22 people at their community home.
