The Octagon Theatre has put out a call out for local actors for the young company in their upcoming production of Brassed Off.
The theatre will be holding auditions on Saturday (27 July), looking for two boys and girls to play the characters of Craig and Melody Ormondroyd.
Auditions are open to young people aged eight to11 with a playing age of five to seven years old within a 25 mile radius of Bolton.
They will be required to have a natural stage presence and confident improvising and adapting quickly to changes throughout the rehearsal process.

Applications are welcomed and encouraged from young people who are deaf and disabled, neurodiverse and young people from the global majority.
The successful young company will be required from w/c September 2 for rehearsals, and performances will run from September, 5 to 28.
Based on the smash-hit film, Brassed Off is a much-loved modern classic, full of grit, heart and northern humour.
The production will feature live music from local brass bands to deliver a soul-stirring theatrical experience.
It’s 1994 and the tight-knit mining community of Grimley, Yorkshire, are fighting to keep their colliery open. Meanwhile, revered band leader, Danny, battles to keep his dispirited band of brass-playing miners together with the dream of qualifying for the National Championships at London’s Albert Hall.
