Police have been warning of a rise in vehicle thefts in four areas of Bolton — with certain models thought be more at risk of being stolen.
Neighbourhood officers have urged motorists to invest in additional security to deter criminals after cars and vans were stolen in Kearsley, Stoneclough, Little Lever and Farnworth.
A spokesman for GMP Bolton South said: "A substantial amount of these car thefts have been of Ford Fiesta ST lines and Range Rovers.
"Large vans have also been targeted, mostly Ford Transits and Mercedes Sprinters.

"Please consider investing in additional security for your vehicle, such as a steering wheel lock and an immobiliser to prevent theft, and tracking devices to increase the chances of the vehicle being found."
