Horwich Conservative Club is in line for a transformation into eight apartments according to an application up for consideration by the council.

The applicant, Graham Eaton, applied for planning permission for the club close to the junction of Bridge Street and Church Street last month.

Horwich Conservative Club shut in 2020, according to the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), and it was on sale for offers over £200,000.

The application for planning permission is for eight apartments across four floors including in the basement. All of them would be one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments between 56 square metres and 72 square metres with a kitchen area and a living area.

There is a proposal for 10 parking spaces at the rear of the development where a rear extension would be demolished.

There is a consultation on the Bolton Council website and the deadline for a decision by Bolton Council is next month.
