A ward councillor has raised concerns about safety on a road where a pedestrian was hit by a car, leaving her in hospital.
The crash took place on Saturday night, July 20, on Ivy Road, Smithills.
A woman in her 50s was struck by a car at just after 8pm and was taken to hospital with "non life-threatening" injuries.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of "traffic offences".
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 8.15pm on Saturday, we were called to a road traffic collision between a pedestrian and a car on Ivy Road, Bolton.
"A woman in her 50s was taken to hospital with injuries that were described as not life-threatening.
"A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of traffic offences and remains in police custody for questioning.
"Enquiries are ongoing."

Although how the incident happened is subject to an investigation, it has prompted concerns about traffic and safety on Ivy Road following the crash.
Ward councillor Roger Hayes said: "I am concerned about road safety in many locations, and Ivy Road is one of them.
"I can only wish the lady recovers, it must have been a terrifying experience for her.
"We have asked the police to carry out checks on both Ivy Road and Church Road, I know that has happened on the latter."
He also raised the issue of speed on the road but added he is not suggesting speeding is linked to this incident.
Cllr Hayes said: "People go at excessive speeds downhill, we have a feedback camera and I have seen drivers regularly going at 60mph plus.
"There are speeding cars both ways, but they tend to go faster going down the hill. I have been overtaken on there before.
"I think there are many roads that are at least as much a problem for pedestrians to cross as that. You can't put crossings everywhere, people have to take care, but drivers have to as well."
The Bolton News has approached Greater Manchester Police for an update on this incident.
