A "short foot chase" then followed in which an officer reportedly detained a "local male" who was said to have been riding the bike which had led to the complaints.
A police spokesperson added: "Officers will be out patrolling anti-social behaviour hotspots including parks throughout the summer."
The incident comes as part of Operation Hurricane, which is Greater Manchester Police's new operation targeting the anti-social use of e-bikes and off-road bikes.
