A man has been arrested after drugs and a weapon were found in a car in Bolton.

On Saturday afternoon, officers from Greater Manchester Police's Operation Hurricane reportedly ordered a driver to stop on Wolfenden Street.

Operation Hurricane is the force's new operation targeting the anti-social use of e-bikes and off road bikes.

Class A drugs, Class B drugs and a baton were found inside the car, police said.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, as well as possession of an offensive weapon.

He remains in police custody for questioning.
