A Bolton GP practice has edged out the competition to become the most highly-rated GP practice in the borough according to its patients.
A whopping 93 per cent of patients at Dr Zarrouk & Partners, also known as Bradford Street Surgery, rated it "very good" or "fairly good" in the 2024 GP Patient Survey, up from just 77 per cent last year.
This means the practice has edged out last year’s top performing practice, Dr Rizwan and Dr Awan at the Halliwell Surgery, who have been relegated to second place, with a still-impressive 92 per cent of patients rating them good.
In last place for the third year in a row was Shanti Medical Centre, with just 52 per cent of patients rating the practice as good.

The GP Patient Survey was carried out by NHS England with Ipsos.
Patients were asked a range of questions about their experiences of their practices including accessing appointments and accessing online services or out-of-hours services.
Across Bolton GPs, an average of 75 per cent of patients rated their practice as good – consistent with the average across Greater Manchester.
Unlike last year, no Bolton practices had fewer than half their patients giving them a "good" rating – though 12 practices across Greater Manchester did.
The practice with the lowest proportion of "good" ratings in Greater Manchester was Limefield Road Medical Practice in Salford, with just 30 per cent of patients saying the practice was good.
In Bolton, a total of 17 practices had 80 per cent or more of their patients giving their practice a good rating, up from 14 last year.
