Four people were arrested in the Little Hulton and Walkden area on suspicion of shoplifting, possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, assault and robbery.
A spokesman for GMP Little Hulton and Walkden said: "Your neighbourhood team are dedicated to bringing those people who commit crime in our neighbourhood to justice.
The neighbourhood team also praise the work between the public and the police after reports of people acting suspiciously.

The spokesman added: "Great work between the public and the police, a member of the public reporting the vehicle and its occupants acting suspicious in the Little Hulton area.
Some quick checks from neighbourhood officers and it turns out that this vehicle to was on false plates, so it was seized.
"Please do continue to report anything suspicious as the neighbourhood teams at based at Little Hulton are committed to making your local area safer."
