Bolton's Paddy McGuinness had a funny five-word response after England fell to Spain in the final of Euro 2024.

The funnyman was as heartbroken as the rest of us after the Three Lions' devastating defeat on Sunday (July 14).

In a post on social media ahead of the match he said he was in front of the TV with the children in bed, and a can of "Dad Petrol" in hand, asking for a bank holiday if Gareth Southgate's men got the right result.

However in another post on social media after the match he had a funny five-word response in reference to Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz beating Serb Novak Djokovic in the final of the Wimbledon Championships.

He said: "Is the tennis not enough?"

Born in Farnworth, McGuinness attended St Peter's and St Paul RC Primary School and Mount St Joseph RC School where he met Peter Kay.

He found fame in shows like Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere before going on to shows like Take Me Out and Top Gear.
