Residents on the Willows Estate in Deane were left stumped - literally - after a nine-foot totem pole disappeared overnight.
The totem pole, made of stone and reinforced with iron rods, was the centrepiece of a communal garden area on the estate but in September 1983 it disappeared. All that was left was a six-inch high base.
Cooper Smith and Richard Tindall are pictured with Peter Ferguson and what remained of the sculpture.
Do you know what happened to the totem pole? We’d love to find out.
