A temporary structure was being built alongside Bolton’s Market hall in 1986.

It would house around 20 food traders who would have to move out of the market hall while major renovation work was underway to create the new Market Place.

The pre-fabricated structure was due to open in May of that year and would be fitted with heating and ventilation systems and comply with environmental health regulations. Do you remember the temporary market hall?
