St Ann's Hospice is set to host a summer fair complete with a Teddy Bear Picnic taking place on July 13.

The hospice's annual family event is returning to Little Hulton, offering a day filled with entertainment and excitement for all ages.

In addition to the Teddy Bear Picnic, activities include a Bollywood dance performance, face painting, food stalls, and tombolas.

Salford Mayor Paul Dennett and Salford Red Devil players are also scheduled to kick off the event at 12pm.

This festive gathering is organised by the Little Hulton volunteer fundraising committee.

Their aim is to rally community support, promote unity and raise funds needed to maintain St Ann’s continuous assistance to patients and their loved ones.

Imogen Priestley-Bird, community fundraiser at St Ann’s Hospice, said: "We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Summer Fair, led by a group of dedicated volunteers who successfully ran a brilliant Winter Fair in 2023.

"Our volunteer-led committee is bringing the community together once again and making a real difference to St Ann's Hospice."

Long-time volunteers, Gwyneth and Mike Viney, said: "We have been involved with many activities to support the fundraising team, including things like bucket collections.

"We have enjoyed being on the committee and working with everyone who have all been very friendly, we are looking forward to the Summer Fair."

The Summer Fair will be held at Little Hulton hospice, Meadowsweet Lane (off Peel Lane), Worsley, Manchester M28 0FE.

Entrance is priced at £1, while children can enter for free.
