A brewery is looking for a new landlord for a Bolton pub.

The Moss Rose in Kearsley is looking for a new person to take the helm.

A listing on the website Businesses for Sale announced the tenancy for the pub as being for sale, with an asking price set at £10,000.

The Moss Rose is described as a wet-only operation, having a main lounge bar area, and a rear games room and public bar.

It also offers domestic accommodation, consisting of three bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge.

The listing says: "We are looking for an experienced, strong community operator who can generate teams and drive the Moss Rose to become the best community pub in the area.

"Good marketing skills will also be required."

Punch Pubs and Co owns the pub. A spokesperson for the company said: “We can confirm that we are recruiting a new publican to take the long-term opportunity at the Moss Rose pub.

"We look forward to working together to ensure that the pub remains at the heart of the community in Kearsley for many years to come.

"We would welcome anyone interested in the opportunity to speak to our Recruitment team on 01283 501999.”

The pub closed suddenly on March 27 this year, announcing on its Facebook that it was to "close temporarily" due to "unforeseen circumstances".

The doors and windows at the public house were boarded up, although its outdoor seating was still in place.

Following this, in late May The Bolton News reported that the Moss Rose had reopened

At the time its Facebook page was advertising events and Punch Pubs confirmed that it was open.

The pub's Facebook page is still advertising events at the pub.
