The Bolton branch of national plumbing merchant Plumbase is celebrating its grand reopening this week.

Throughout the week and tomorrow (Thursday) representatives from the merchant’s major suppliers, and a guest appearance from Bolton Hospice’s “Cyril the Squirrel” mascot have been at the branch.

Just off Blackburn Road near Bolton town centre, Plumbase is located on Howard Street.

The current Bolton branch first opened two years ago, and was newly refurbished in June to create a new layout with an expansive showroom.

Dwayne Wilson, the store manager, took the reins in the branch at the beginning of this year.

Dwayne said: "The new showroom includes six large display bays, with three showcasing model bathrooms and another three with furniture.

“We have a 50-50 spread across the showroom of displays catered to trade and retail, so there’s something for everyone.”

Plumbase, while being a specialist merchant, sells plumbing, heating, and renewable energy products to both retail and trade customers.

Representatives from all the firm’s major suppliers, including MyLife Bathrooms, Porcelanosa, and Atlanta Bathrooms are set to attend this week.

Plumbase Bolton has also partnered with the Bolton Hospice, aiming to “give back to the local community”, Dwayne adds.

The branch recently donated £1000 to the hospice and is working with suppliers to organise a raffle which would offer a free bathroom to a lucky winner in the near future.

“Our doors are open, with food and beverages on offer until July 4. Come down, meet our suppliers, and have a look around”, Dwayne urges customers.

Plumbase’s Bolton branch is open from 7am-5pm on weekdays, and on Saturday mornings.

The retailer also has showrooms in Horwich, Heywood, Darwen, and Wigan.
