A search is underway to find a driver who led police on a chase around Tonge Moor.
The car, which the driver was in control of, was later found abandoned in Arnesby Grove and it has now been seized.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the driver who “placed members of the public at risk”.
A police spokesperson said: “This car has been seized from Arnesby Grove in Tonge Moor.
“Officers tried to stop the car but it failed to stop and it was pursued around Tonge Moor.
“It was later found abandoned and has now been seized.
“Enquiries are ongoing to identify and prosecute the driver who placed members of the public at risk.”
