An arrest has been made after police were called to reports of an “aggressive shoplifter” today (June 24).
The force’s shoplifting team was on patrol in the town centre, when they were called to reports of a shoplifter at Sainsbury’s at Trinity Retail Park.
A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft. She remains in custody.
A police spokesperson said: “The shoplifting team have been on patrol today in Bolton town centre and have responded to reports of an aggressive shoplifter at Sainsbury’s on Trinity Retail Park.
“Officers have arrived quickly and arrested a 29-year-old female on suspicion of theft.
“She remains in custody for questioning.”
