Local resident Kes Ahmed said it sounded like "an explosion" had gone off at the moment the car crashed into his house.
The 38-year-old wished to share his condolences with the victim’s family, and said the "surreal" crash was one of several that had happened in the last few weeks, with his family now "traumatised".
He added: “My brother was crossing the road and he just about survived the accident.
“He’s traumatised by that experience. At the time, the panic was so much – there were already dozens of people there trying to help recover and get people out the car. It was all like a blur.”
Mr Ahmed's home has sustained some damage from the crash, with cracks now showing in his walls. Now, he’s worried about his family’s safety – with drivers regularly speeding through the area.

He said: “Something needs to be done, and I definitely fear for my young children – I’ve got a child and nephews come to visit – they play football on the side.
“My child could have been playing here and that car could have come through the wall. A little bit more of an impact and it could have come through.”
He added: “There could have easily been pedestrians – there are children walking past all the time, and it’s just not safe. Definitely not safe.”
Ranjit Singh is the area manager at the head office of Manor Pharmacy. The wall outside the building sustained heavy damage during the crash.
Mr Singh, aged 42, said: “It’s a really sad situation. In terms of the details, we’re not really aware of who or what, we’re just observing this sad loss.
“Just to know they’d come back from shopping and then not being able to make it is really sad.”
