A man has appeared in court charged with robbery.
Shane Allen, 33, of Withington Road, Manchester, made his first appearance at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court yesterday.
He is accused of robbing Sylvia Conway on June 13, of her leather handbag, £30 in cash and a bus pass.

Magistrates declined jurisdiction and the matter will be sent to Bolton Crown Court.
Chairman of the bench Larry Collier said to him: "This matter is too serious for us to deal with.
"We are sending it to Bolton Crown Court on 11 July.
"Until that date you will be remanded in custody."
