The iconic Fortalice Fells Walk in Rivington is fast approaching – and people are being advised to book on quick as registration closes soon.

On Saturday July 6, walkers will climb landmarks Winter Hill and Rivington Pike to raise funds for Fortalice, with a 9k route or the brand new for this year 4.5k route which is suitable for everyone.

Events like the Fells Walk help to ensure the Bolton domestic abuse charity can continue their vital lifesaving services.

Registration will include a Fortalice Fells Walk T-Shirt, a medal, a Carrs pastie and water.

On the day, the walk will begin at Rivington and Blackrod High School, check in is from 9am, there will be a warm up walk at 9.40am, and check in closes at 9.45am.

There will also be entertainment and the event will be hosted by Bolton FM.

Fortalice is a Bolton based charity providing frontline services for people who are, or have been, affected by domestic abuse and violence.

Their support includes refuge accommodation, local outreach community services supporting victims, education and accredited training for professionals.

Registration closes on June 28 and the cost is £12.50.
