Bolton families are set to celebrate Eid in the town centre this Saturday, June 22.
The Mayor of Bolton and volunteers from the Sunnyside Club have planned an array of Eid-themed crafts and activities at the Albert Halls.
The event will commence at 11am and run until 4pm, with stalls from community organisations ranging from calligraphy, henna, and scarf tying.
The family-friendly event also features various types of entertainment including poetry readings, nasheed artists, and a qawali group, with stalls serving international food and drink.
Arts and crafts items, clothes, and food hampers and sweet cones from local charity Benefit Mankind will be available.
The mayor of Bolton, Cllr Andy Morgan, said: "I am very much looking forward to the Eid Extravaganza as events like this bring the community together and I’m excited to see the range of stalls and try food from around the world.
"I am also delighted that any proceeds from the event will go towards my chosen charities which are Bolton Hospice, Bolton FM, Bolton Wanderers in the Community, and the Darren Deady Foundation."
He encouraged locals to participate and demonstrate their support.
The Albert Halls is located at Bolton Town Hall, Victoria Square, Bolton.
