A Horwich-based contractor has joined a £1.5 billion plan to build more homes in the North.
Mansell Building Solutions, has been awarded a contract to join Great Places Housing Group's Innovation Chain North (ICN) framework.
This partnership will place Mansell in the line-up of consultants and contractors delivering new homes across the north of England over a four-year span.
Mansell emerged as one of the 103 successful appointees from a pool of 206 applicants.
Angela Mansell, managing director of the family business, founded in 1991, said: "We believe that Modern Methods of Construction are the future of the construction industry and, as a champion of this way of working, we're very pleased to have the opportunity to help deliver sustainable homes.
"Landmark frameworks like this are vital in tackling the nation’s housing crisis and we’re looking forward to playing our part in delivering its ambitious targets."
Great Places’ development performance manager, Joanne Whitehead, said: "We are delighted to be working with Mansell Building Solutions on our new ICN framework.
"We are confident they will be able to work with us and the clients of ICN in delivering the sector’s extensive development ambitions in the North."
The £1.5 billion framework will continue running until June 2028.
