The Bolton News Business Awards are back for 2024 and we’re shining a spotlight on past winners.
The event, which this year has Bolton Council and Leisure Guard Security as headline sponsors, will take place on Friday, September 20 in the Premier Suite at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
The awards celebrate achievement and highlight successful and innovative companies doing fantastic things in the Bolton area.
Today, we're looking at the SME Business of the Year award (the nomination form can be accessed by clicking here) as well as last year’s winner.
This category, sponsored by Orbit Developments, is for companies with a turnover of less than £2 million which have made an indelible impression in the business world.
Innovation, expertise and imagination are just some of the qualities that will help firms qualify for this award. The winner can be from any business sector.
The judges will consider its approach to staff development, potential for future growth, and the business's impact on jobs in the community.
Jim White, MD of Restoration Group, who took home the trophy in 2023, described winning as “absolutely amazing” and “a cocktail of elation, pride and shock”.
When asked what message he would give to those considering nominating their business, he said: “Awards recognising your company and your team speak volumes to your clients and re-enforce the message that you are getting it right.”
