A girl was taken to hospital for treatment for a head injury, North West Ambulance Service has confirmed, following a crash in Westhoughton.
Paramedics were called to Wigan Road just before 3pm on Sunday, the ambulance service said, with Wigan Road remaining closed for hours following the incident, reopening just before 7pm.
A photo from the scene on Sunday showed police vehicles set up at the junction of Wigan Road and Jack’s Lane, with the road coned off and traffic at a standstill.
The crash took place near the border with Wigan at Hart Common.

A North West Ambulance spokesperson said: “A girl was taken to hospital was taken to hospital to be treated for a head injury.
“An ambulance and advanced paramedic attended following a call at 14.55.”
Greater Manchester Police ahs been contacted for comment.
Former councillor Anne Marie Watters previously said it appeared a teenage girl had been injured.
She said: “We were driving after it happened.
“A car looked like it should have been heading towards Hindley and had gone into a fence."
