A major road in Bolton was closed for a couple of hours this afternoon, Saturday, after a "police incident".
Emergency services were called to Moss Bank Way at the junction with Blackburn Road just after midday.
The road was shut through to Hillview Road and motorists were advised to find alternative routes.
The reopening of the road was announced at around 2pm although the circumstances of what happened have not yet been reported.

A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesperson said: "Moss Bank Way in Astley Bridge is closed from the junction with Blackburn Road and Hillview Road while we deal with an incident.
"Please find alternative routes."
GMP and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for more information about the incident.
