A road in Heaton is set to be closed later this month while resurfacing works take place.
Victoria Road will be shut from June 24 for approximately five days to allow for the works to take place.
The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Victoria Road from The Croft to Markland Hill, to allow resurfacing to take place.
An alternate route for traffic will be put in place so motorists can travel around the area with ease, this will be via Old Kiln Lane.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.
The council apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
