Two people have been arrested on suspicion of vehicle crimes in Bromley Cross.

Police arrested a man and a woman today, Thursday, after alleged offences on Wednesday.

A 36-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman have been arrested and remain in custody as police conduct an investigation.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team arrest two suspects on suspicion of vehicle offences in the Bromley Cross area.

"The offences were committed during the early hours of June 12, 2024.

"With support from the community, who reported a number of related incidents and quickly provided CCTV footage to the police, officers were able to identify the two offenders and arrest those who are suspected the be responsible for the offences in just over 24 hours.

"This morning, officers arrested a 36-year-old male and a 40-year-old female on suspicion of four theft from motor vehicle offences and four vehicle interference offences in the Bromley Cross area.

"The two offenders remain in custody for questioning whilst officers continue to gather evidence. A number of items that were stolen, have since been returned to their owners."
