Two Bolton eateries awarded new food hygiene ratings

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety, inspectors have rated one eatery a four out of five and another eatery received a three-star score.

Lok Yuen (Image: Google Maps) Lok Yuen, a takeaway at 157 Market Street, Farnworth, was given a four rating after assessment on June 4, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are good whilst the management of food safety is generally satisfactory.

Fado's (Image: Fado's) Fado's, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 444 Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, received a ranking of three after an inspection on May 7.

The inspection report states the eatery is generally satisfactory in all areas.

It means that of Bolton's 445 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 247 (56 per cent) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
