A non-profit organisation has been celebrating the hard work of all of its volunteers.

Bolton Carers Support says it appreciates the "huge difference" volunteers make to the work the organisation does and the support they offer unpaid carers, especially considering that the majority of volunteers are carers themselves.

And in honour of Volunteers Week last week, the organisation has celebrated volunteers with an event.

Volunteer co-ordinator Lynn Meadowcroft organised a very special "thank you" event for volunteers on June 5 at the Thicketford Centre.

A spokesperson for Bolton Carers Support said: “This was a wonderful opportunity for our volunteers to spend some time together, have fun, and to feel valued for the work they do.

“Bolton Carers Support are now in our 30th year and all our volunteers have played such an important part in getting us to where we are today.

“We were delighted to be awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2022, recognising this invaluable work and commitment.

“Huge thanks to all our volunteers, past, present and future. You are all amazing.”
