Two men and a woman have been charged and another man bailed in connection with a murder in Bolton.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed this morning, Sunday, that three people had been charged following the death of a 35-year-old man in The Haulgh.
Officers say Paul Simmons, 48, of Bradford Street, Bolton, has been charged with murder.
Jordan Downes, 31, of no fixed abode, is charged with assisting an offender.
Kelly Hughes, 37, of no fixed abode, is charged with obstruct police.
Officers added that another 40-year-old man also arrested has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
The charges relate to an incident on Friday (June 7) when police were called at around 7.15pm to reports that a man had been stabbed on Bradford Street.
Yesterday afternoon, a heavy police presence was spotted on Bromwich Street, just off Bradford Street which was first seen at around 7.50pm on Friday.
By around 3pm on Saturday afternoon, the scene had been cleared but the remains of police tape could be seen around the Bromwich Street area.
The man was taken to hospital but tragically passed away as a result of his injuries.
Detectives appeal to anyone with information to call 101 quoting 3001 of 7/6/24.
