Further arrests have been made as part of Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) work against what they say is a criminal network responsible for the importation of cannabis.
In January, eight people were arrested and this morning, following raids, a further six people between the ages of 20 and 24 have been arrested on suspicion of importation of cannabis.
During the investigation 675.5 kilograms of cannabis has been seized and the border force has intercepted several parcels each of which is estimated to be worth over £5 million.
GMP has seized £474,000 in cash.

Detective Inspector Claire Rawcliffe from GMP Serious Organised Crime Group said drugs were damaging.
She said: “We know that organised criminal networks will seek to exploit infrastructure like the postal or fast parcel system to bring their illegal commodities into the UK undetected, but we are working closely and collaboratively with a variety of partners and colleagues to stop them.
“The cost and damage to lives that drugs cause our communities is incalculable, and by working with colleagues at border force, we’ve been able to prevent sizable quantities of drugs infiltrating our street and causing further harm and exploitation.”
