A much-loved award-winning family pub in Bolton has gone up for sale.
Bob's Smithy Inn on Chorley Old Road beyond Doffcocker on the way out of town will have new owners.
The pub has gone up for sale and has been listed with business advertising platform, Businesses for Sale.
The advert states the asking price is £1.1million.
Turnover and net profit are available on request.
Jordan Brookers, co-owner of the pub, said about the sale: “The reason we are selling is not because we are struggling.”
Mr Brookers declined to provide any more information about the move.
The advert also states numerous positive factors about the pub.
These include it being rated in the top 10 of Bolton’s 275 restaurants, planning permission to increase the seating capacity, already existing outdoor seating for 90 people, car parking for 40 cars.
It states: “The pub and restaurant could be extended much further across the entire ground floor if all properties on the terrace row were purchased; this could then also see the addition of letting rooms to the business model.”
The pub also has views across Lancashire.

The net profit to the year ending in November 2022 showed a turnover of £794,592 and an adjusted net profit of £226,752.
The family pub has been in business for 32 years.
It was opened by Lorraine and Stuart Brookes and now their son Jordan is a co-owner.
The pub was built in the 1800s and has been expanded.
It serves pub-style food including pies, fish and chips, scampi and steak with all of it being homemade.
Popular drinks include Guinness, San Miguel, Wainwright ale and ale from the bank Top Brewery in Bolton.
The pub offers a quiz on a Wednesday.
It was finalists for the Food Awards for Gastro Pub of the Year in the North in 2022 and 2023 and was expanded once again in Covid with a bigger dining area being set up.
