A famous Bolton boxer has teased a return to the sport after two years.

Amir Khan took to X, formerly Twitter, in the early hours of this morning, June 2, to suggest a comeback to boxing

His last fight was in February 2022, when he came back after three years away from the sport to face off against long-time rival Kell Brook.

Khan lost the bout on a technical knockout.

Last night, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul tweeted that he would like to see Khan fight fellow YouTuber/boxer KSI.

The Bolton-born boxer replied: "If he dies he dies. Then f*** Jake Paul up."

Paul replied that Khan would "kill" KSI in a fight, and could then follow it up with a bout against himself, adding that he would "splatter" Khan.

The response from Khan came: "Send contact or go back to Disney b***h", referring to Paul's background playing Dirk Mann and Disney Original series Bizaardvark.

Later on, in the early hours of Sunday, Khan made two further tweets: "The KING is back. News coming soon..." and "EASY money".

His boxing nickname is 'King Khan'. He has not elaborated on these statements since.
