Summer would not be summer without a garden party.
Preparations are now underway for one of the biggest highlights of the town's social calendar — Smithills Garden Party.
This year it will take place on Sunday, July 14 from noon until 4pm.
Crafters and artisans are invited to come along to showcase and sell their craft goods and local produce.
Around 4,000 visitors came to the last Garden Party.
A spokesman said: "We’re looking forward to welcoming people back and newbies to this fantastic family day out.
"Commercial stalls are £50 and Charity stalls are £20. Each stall will have a trestle table (approx. 6ft by 3ft) and 2 chairs. Please note that we are unable to provide gazebos this year.
"Please note that in order to sell items on your stall you must have public liability insurance."
