Soap star favourites from Coronation Street and Emmerdale are set to visit an inflatable park to read children's stories as part of a fun reading event.

Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle in Emmerdale will be reading live to children at Open Air Bounce in Over Hulton on Saturday, July 6.

Families will have the chance to enjoy a meet and greet with the star as well as with Andy Whyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland on ITV's Coronation Street.

Lucy Fallon and Brooke Vincent will read to children on Sunday, July 7, with meet and greets available with both Corrie stars.

Jacob Mitchell aka MC Grammar, a teacher who found fame rapping books to children, will also be performing on July 7.

His unique approach has encouraged thousands of children up and down the country to read books.

Britain’s Got Talent 2020 runner-up, comedian Steve Royle, will also be performing a comedy show.

Open Air Bounce, an outdoor inflatable park, is hosting the performers as part of the Albert's Bookshelf Summer Festival.

Albert's Bookshelf was founded by Danny and Capital Radio's Nigel ‘Wingman’ Clucas - a delightful collection of children’s audiobooks brought to life through the magic of narration.

Leighton Mills, who runs the inflatable park, said: “I’m so excited to announce this because it’s going to be a huge event with so many celebrities at Open Air Bounce.

“We’re going from strength to strength and seeing how successful all our events have been so far, I know this one will be amazing too.”

Posting details of the event on social media, he said: “Immerse yourself in popular timeless tales, vibrant characters, and thrilling adventures.
